Role & Responsibilities

The Advisory Committee will serve as a sounding board to support Town staff and the planning consultant throughout the zoning ordinance rewrite process. The Committee’s role is advisory in nature, with a focus on evaluating key issues, providing community perspectives, and offering strategic input. Members will help foster transparency, encourage public engagement, and contribute to the development of a zoning framework that reflects the Town’s long-term goals and values.

Recommendations and feedback from the Advisory Committee will help inform the Town Council’s deliberations and support sound decision-making. Final authority for review, modification, and adoption of the new Zoning Ordinance rests solely with the Town Council.
