About the Department
The Town’s Engineering Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and inspection of capital projects and improvements for the Town, by performing such functions directly, or by contract.

Capital projects include improvements to:
  • Storm drainage system
  • Water distribution system
  • Sanitary sewer collection system
  • Roads and bridges
  • Traffic signal system

Other responsibilities include:
  • Storm water management program
  • Floodplain management
  • Subdivision regulations
  • Construction inspection and administration
  • Plat review and approval
  • Environmental services
  • Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Responding to questions and concerns from residents
  • Address State and local Government mandates and compliances
