December 6, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Authors LIVE! is co-sponsored by The Friends of the Highland Park Library, Highland Park United Methodist Church, and The Friends of the SMU Libraries.
In Heirs of the Founders, New York Times bestselling historian, professor, and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, H. W. Brands, narrates the story of America’s second generation of political heavyweights and the ways in which their clashes and compromises shaped our democracy.
Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, and John Calhoun took upon themselves the task of completing the unfinished work of the Founding Fathers. In riveting style, Brands unveils the drama of these relationships during a precarious time in early United States history.
Autographed books will be available for purchase before and after the program. The author will personalize his book after the program.
