[ARCHIVED] Mapping Texas: Online Program for Adults

Outline of the state of Texas

The Highland Park Library invites you to join us for an online presentation by Rachel DeShong, Map Curator for the Texas Collection, Baylor University. She will be guiding participants on a journey through the historic maps that gradually define the iconic shape of Texas as we know it. There will be time for participants to ask questions, as well.

The Texas Collection at Baylor University has been actively preserving the State’s many maps, archives, and other historic materials since 1923, and will be presenting online to share several interesting cartographic materials held in their collection.

WHEN: Friday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Online - We will be using GoToMeeting for the presentation. Once registered to attend, you will receive an email with the link and password for attending the program.

HOW: Register for the program by emailing Holly Russell, Adult Services Librarian. If you are unable to attend at that time, please register so that a link to the recording may be sent to you afterward. For security reasons, please do not share registration login information. All participants must register to attend.

WHO: Participation is limited to the first 25 registrants. Everyone is encouraged to register, as a link to the recording will be sent out to all who registered after the program as concluded, whether they attended the live program or not.
