The Highland Park Library has made the instructional User Guides for Libby by Overdirve, RBDigital, Hoopla, and PressReader available for download to assist users in setting up their accounts and learning how to use these services. You can find the User Guides for each service on the the Library’s eBooks & More web page. In addition to the User Guides, short video tutorials on how to set up your account and get started for each of these services can be found on the Library’s Databases web page by clicking the blue "Tutorials" tab on the right side of the screen, and choosing "Library Services" to access the specific tutorials.
Here is what each service offers:
- rbDigital - Recorded Books offers a wide variety of eAudiobooks, magazines, comics; and now streams AcornTV and Great Courses.
- Overdrive - Overdrive offers many titles in eBook format that can be read on a computer, or tablets and mobile devices using the Libby app.
- PressReader - PressReader has over 7,000 newspapers and magazines available to read, including the Dallas Morning News. This service is free with your library card, and is provided by the generosity of the Highland Park Quality of Life Foundation.
- Hoopla - Hoopla offers movies, music, television shows, comics, eBooks, and eAudiobooks.
