Have you ever finished a great book and wanted to find more just like it? Or wanted to help your child find just the right book to read? The Highland Park Library now offers Library card holders access to NoveList Plus databases, easy to use online resources to help readers match up with the books that are right for them.
Among the databases' most popular elements are read-alikes. This feature suggests titles that are ‘just like’ other titles. Also, discover lists of great reads and award-winning books. Audiobook recommendations are the most recent additions to NoveList Plus.
The databases cover both fiction and nonfiction titles for all ages from the youngest readers to adults and have extra content like reviews (both professional reviews and reader reviews), book discussion guides, curriculum guides, and other book-oriented articles. Book groups and teachers find these resources especially helpful.
Access recommended reading information from NoveList while searching the Library catalog, too. Now not only does the Library catalog tell you the status of materials, you can access a “Recommended Reading” link after clicking on the book title for more information.
Highland Park Library cards are free for residents of the Town of Highland Park. Please visit the Library during business hours, Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., to fill out a library card application. The Library is located at 4700 Drexel Drive.
