[ARCHIVED] DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Event

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs and over-the-counter medication while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.  To date, over 3.4 million pounds of unwanted/used/expired medication have been removed from circulation.The Drug Take-Back program is part of an initiative aimed to reduce the incidence of illegal prescription drug use among youth in Dallas County. 

Individuals wishing to drop off their medications in Highland Park may do so at HPDPS, 4700 Drexel Drive. A HPDPS officer will be on site during the take-back event.
