Ideas Powered Its What We Do Logo.jpg

On Thursday, September 15, the Highland Park Library will join libraries across the state to host a Power Up at Your Library Day event. The Library’s Thinker Thursday drop-in program will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. on September 15 and will feature a variety of activities designed for elementary school age children to promote innovation, leadership, and technology-centered work.

Children and their caregivers will explore using squishy circuits to make light-up creations, design clothespin race cars, use yarn looms to learn the basics of knitting, and discover educational apps on the Library’s collection of Playaway Launchpad tablets. It’s all part of the “Ideas Powered: It’s What We Do” campaign, which seeks to broaden the public’s awareness of innovative library services.

Drop-by for Thinker Thursday and get charged up about the Library. The Library is located at 4700 Drexel Drive, 75205 and is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, visit the library online or call 214-559-9400.
