Ages 18 and Up
In the 16th century, a new type of fabric burst onto the scene: bobbin lace. How was this purely ornamental fabric made, that was at times more valuable than gold and was the cause of great intrigue in Europe?
Come join the members of the Dallas Lace Society for a workshop on basic stitches of bobbin lace. We will work on stitches that are the basis of all bobbin lace in the first session and a sampler of grounds in the second session. Our members will guide you as you learn the foundations of lacemaking.
Registration opens Thursday, July 20.
