Engage Cognitive Flexibility for Agile Thinking
Cognitive flexibility is the key to maintaining and advancing brain health as we age. Learn how to leverage agile thinking to generate and discover novel concepts, imagine future problems, and identify solutions from multiple viewpoints.
After attending this session, you will be able to:
- Discuss practical ways to break free from stagnant, status quo thinking.
- Understand how to flexibly update ideas and perspectives to generate novel solutions and improve existing processes.

Katie Hinds, MS, CCC-SLP
Katie facilitates SMART™ Brain Training and BrainHealthy Workplace™ programs with a variety of military, law enforcement, corporate, and student groups. She also leads individual and group coaching sessions focused on empowering individuals to utilize strategies for improved brain health and performance as part of The BrainHealth® Project.
Katie’s work is based on a passion for empowering others to maximize their potential.
Her interest in enhancing cognitive performance brought her to the Center for BrainHealth in 2014. Since then, she has gained experience facilitating high performance cognitive training programs with students, athletes, military personnel, first-responders, and corporate executives.
Katie earned her MS in cognitive communication disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. She earned her BS in speech, language, and hearing sciences from Texas Tech University in 2011.
