Home canning is now one of the fastest-growing trends in food and is no longer considered a lost art! Join Chef Sandra for this fun and informative session where you will learn how canning preserves flavor and nutrients, safety practices to follow, and how to get started. With just a few inexpensive tools and a little guidance, you will quickly be able to begin canning on your own. In this Summer Fruit focused class, you will learn how to make jam and jelly recipes using fresh berries, and serious mistakes to avoid while making jams and jellies.
Each participant will also leave with a jar of jam and will enjoy an appetizer created using fresh berry jam.
Registration opens Thursday, June 16. Seating is limited.
