Teen Summer Reading


Register and participate online, at READSquared, for the 2022 Teen Summer Reading Club.

  • Log your reading points and you will be entered to win a gift card from a local business.
  • Complete the program and you will be entered to win a grand prize!
  • For youth in 7th - 12th grades.
  • From the University Park Public Library and the Highland Park Library.

Tuesday, June 14, 6 - 7 p.m. -Become a Self-Published Author
Location: University Park Public Library

Are you an inspiring writer? Do you want to know more about the publishing process, and how to become a self-published author? Join local author Jeanne Skartsaris as she shares her experiences of writing and publishing her own book, Dance Like You Mean It, at the University Park Public Library. Bring any questions and writing ideas you may have! 

For ages 12 and up. Registration is not required. Worth 25 bonus points for the Teen's Summer Reading Club. 

Tuesday, July 12, 4:30 - 6 p.m. -Cookie Decorating Class
Location: Highland Park Library

Learn to decorate cookies like a pro with Nicki Cooley from Sweets on a Stick at the Highland Park Library.  Class includes cookies, all the supplies, ingredients, and instruction needed to decorate. 

For ages 12 and up. Please email Laura Collins at to register at the Highland Park Library. 
Worth 25 bonus points for the Teen's Summer Reading Club.
