Beginning February 2, 2021, eMagazines and eComics from RBdigital will be available in OverDrive's Libby app. The transfer will take place on February 1, and may take up to 24-hours for titles to become available in Libby when the transfer is complete.
AcornTV and The Great Courses streaming video resources will remain available in the RBdigital app. Digital newspapers and magazines available through PressReader will not be affected.
When will the transfer happen?
Services to RBdigital will be turned off around 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, for the transfer of materials to take place. We do not expect the disruption to the service to be more than a few hours.
How do I get eMagazines and eComics after the transfer?
For those who have not yet tried the Libby app, all you need to get started is your Highland Park Library card number and PIN. The Libby app is easy to use and will guide you through the setup process to get you connected to the Library’s available content in just a few minutes. You can find in-app support, visit OverDrive’s Help site, or use the Libby Academy within the app for assistance. You can access instructions for and information about the Highland Park Library’s available digital services, such as Libby and PressReader, from the Library’s website.
If you have already been enjoying the Libby app, there will be no change. We do not anticipate any disruption to OverDrive's services during this transfer. Please be aware that eMagazine and eComics titles may not appear in Libby for at least 24-hours after the transfer has taken place.
