  2. Baseball: the Nature, the Power, & the Personality of the Game

    July 18, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Highland Park Town Hall - Town Council Chamber

    Join the Highland Park Library in welcoming local attorney and baseball historian Talmage Boston, on Thursday evening, July 18, 2019. Mr. Boston will be giving an exciting lecture about "America's Favorite Pastime". This is sure to be an enlightening presentation for anyone that loves the game of baseball.

    Exercising in the water is great way to exercise because it puts less stress and pressure on joints because the buoyancy of the water. Water also acts as a form of resistance, so strength exercises can be performed in the water without heavy weights. Water Aerobics will be on hiatus July 3, - 4, 2019. Classes resume July 9. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, at 9:30 a.m. at the HP Swimming Pool

    Taking the mystery out of mindfulness. We will teach you simple techniques, backed by scientific research, to help you lose some of your stress and gain more of what you want from life. Enhance your awareness in the present moment, unifying your body and mind with gentle movements, stretches and breathing. You leave the session feeling refreshed as well as calmer. also provide other significant health benefits including improved strength, balance, flexibility, circulation, brain function, and immune system. No special attire is necessary, easily practiced in work clothing. All abilities are welcome. No previous experience is necessary.
