  1. Origami Story Time at HP Library

    April 25, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    Join the HP Library and the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth for Origami Story Time on Thursday, April 25, 4 - 5 p.m. Children will learn the art of Kamishibai, Japanese storytelling, followed by an Origami craft activity.


    Limited to the first 25 school-aged children and their caregivers.

  2. Lecture & Workshop: Artist Shiela Hicks

    April 26, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Highland Park Town Hall - Council Chamber

    The Nasher Sculpture Center will be presenting and two-part program with presentation and art workshop centered around textile artist Sheila Hicks. A history of the sculptor and her work will be presented on Friday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. A workshop to create a textile piece in the same medium and process as Hicks' works will be Saturday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. Reservations are encouraged so that we may prepare to have enough supplies; please call the HP Library at 214-599-9400.
