Policy Development & Strategic Initiatives

The Policy Development and Strategic Initiatives Department is responsible for policy development, strategic planning, legislative coordination, governmental relations, community engagement, and parks and recreation administration for the Town. The department works closely with town officials, department directors, community stakeholders, and external partners to formulate and execute policies that drive effective governance and improve the quality of life for residents.

Key initiatives include strategic planning and performance management, legislative and policy analysis, and proactive communications. 

In addition, the department organizes major community events such as the annual Tree Lighting held at Armstrong Parkway and other recreational events and programs.
