The Town has a Home Rule Charter that calls for a Council – Manager government consisting of a Mayor and five Town Council Members. The Mayor and Town Council are elected on the second Saturday in May of even-numbered years. All members are elected at-large and serve without compensation. Each member is limited to three successive two-year terms of office. In addition, the Mayor and Council appoint the Town Administrator (Manager.) Town Council Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 4:00 P.M., unless otherwise set by the Council. Special meetings are held as needed. All meetings are open to the public. The Town Council appoints all boards and committees of the Town.
