BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

The Zoning Ordinance provides for the creation of a Board of Adjustment consisting of five members appointed by the Council for two-year terms. The purpose of the Board is to consider requests for variances from requirements of the Zoning Ordinances. In considering an appeal, the Board is required by State statute to conduct a public hearing. The public hearing process involves notifying adjacent property owners and publishing a copy of the notice in the official newspapers of the Town.
