ZONING COMMISSION

The Town's Charter sets forth requirements for the creation of a Zoning Commission appointed by the Council. The Commission consists of five residents of the Town, and the Town Administrator and the Town Attorney as ex-officio members. The Commission acts as an advisory board to the Council on matters related to zoning, planning, or subdividing land within the corporate limits of the Town. The Zoning Commission considers changes in zoning requirements and makes a recommendation to the Town Council. In considering a zone change, the Commission conducts a public hearing to receive input from interested residents. Any property owner can request a change in zoning.
