The Budget is the most important working and planning tool used by the Town Council, Town Administrator and Department Heads for providing the levels of service to the citizens of Highland Park and maintenance of infrastructure. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awards the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the highest award in governmental budgeting. The Town received this honor for the Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008. This was the 20th time the Town has received this honor.
