About Authors LIVE!

Learn, grow, and have fun attending this ongoing series. Hear nationally known, award-winning, and best-selling authors present their newly-published fiction and non-fiction works. Presented in partnership with the Friends of the Highland Park Library, Highland Park United Methodist Church and the Friends of the SMU Libraries these presentations are offered free to the whole community in Wesley Hall, HPUMC at 3300 Mockingbird Lane.

Join us to hear some of America’s most interesting authors introduce us to new ideas and intriguing stories. Autographed copies of the author’s book are available for purchase before and after the program. A book signing follows the program for those who would like their books personalized. The 7:00 p.m. program requires no reservations. The 6:00 p.m. Author Reception, including a meet and greet with the author and a signed copy of the author’s book, is $30 and must be reserved at least 2 days in advance at 214-523-2240 or online at hpumc.org/authorslive

Check back often for up-to-date information on upcoming programs. Email the Highland Park Library to be added to the email list for new events.

Brought to you by the Friends of the Highland Park Library, Highland Park United Methodist Church, and the Friends of the SMU Libraries. Authors LIVE! was established in 2011 by the Friends of the Highland Park Library and the Highland Park United Methodist Church to bring nationally recognized authors to speak for free as a service to the community.

"From the golden-haired, curly-headed half of Simon & Garfunkel–a memoir (of sorts): artful, moving, lyrical; the making of a musician; the evolution of a man, a portrait of a life-long friendship and collaboration that became one of the most successful singing duos of their time. Art Garfunkel writes about his life before, during, and after Simon & Garfunkel."
