Water Service
Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District
Water is provided to the Town by the Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District. If you have questions regarding water quality, the process of clarification, drought plans, or contact information, please visit their website.

State-of-the-Art Filtration

Park Cities’ tap water is the equivalent quality to bottled water. Currently, the Dallas County/Park Cities Municipal Utilities District (MUD) water plant meets or exceeds all of the Environmental Protection Agency requirements and holds the highest quality rating issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The Park Cities MUD is currently implementing a membrane filtration system, a breakthrough water treatment technology. By upgrading the current facility to the state-of-the-art membrane filtration system, the plant will produce some of the highest quality water in the area and throughout the state. In addition to the membrane filtration system, granular activated carbon filters will be added to continuously control taste and odor as well as eliminate cryptosporidium and giardia lamblia, organisms that cause severe intestinal distress. These additions ensure that Park City residents will receive the best tasting, safest, and highest quality water throughout the area and state.

Visit Park Cities Water website for additional water conservation tips and additional information on the Park Cities water supply and filtration system. For questions regarding your water service, please contact the Town of Highland Park at 214-521-4161.
