2007 Park Cities 4th of July Community Parade and Picnic

 

WHAT:

The annual Park Cities Fourth of July Celebration Parade and Picnic

 

WHEN:

The Parade begins on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.  Activities at Goar Park begin at 10:00 a.m.

 

WHERE:

Parade – Line-up begins at Euclid Avenue near Highland Park Town Hall at 7:30 a.m.  Line-up is on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Bicycles – Line-up begins at the Bank of America location at Preston and Mockingbird.  Bicycle judging begins at 8:00 a.m.  The bicycles enter the parade from that point as it passes by.

 

Picnic – Activities and entertainment will be held in Goar Park adjacent to University Park City Hall.

 

ROUTE:

The parade will travel west on Euclid Avenue from Highland Park Town Hall to Highland Drive and then north to Beverly Drive.  It will continue west on Beverly and turn north on Preston Road to University Boulevard.  The Parade will then travel east on University to Hunters Glen where it will turn northeast to Turtle Creek Boulevard to its end on the north side of Goar Park.

 

TO ENTER:

There are no fees or admission charge to enter a safe and tasteful float, vehicle or marching group in the parade.  Be present for line-up prior to 8:30 a.m.

 

GOAR PARK:

If your organization would like to set up a booth at Goar Park, applications are available at the University Park City Hall receptionist’s desk.
