Capital Improvements

The Town of Highland Park has a number of capital improvement projects under design or construction. For more information about future construction, contact the Engineering Department at 214-521-4161.

Current Projects
Note: This list is subject to change based on priority and budgetary needs:

Exall Dam Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation 2017 (Currently ongoing)
The project began in early January 2018 and will last till July 2018. The project is designed to repair or replace the aged bridge structure and bridge walkway currently over the dam.

Milling and Resurfacing Project (Bidding process)
The project is designed to aid with the life expectancy of the Town's roads. By milling the old surface away and placing
new asphalt, the Town's hopes to maintain a smoother road while increase its lifespan. Various locations in the Town are currently being resurfaced. The Town's will be sending out notices to residents for both the milling and resurfacing portions of the project.

Miscellaneous Concrete Spot Repairs 2018 (Currently Bidding)
The project will include replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and street pavement repairs along various streets in the Town. After completion, new asphalt will be placed on the streets.
