1. How do I obtain a copy of my driving record?

You may obtain a copy of your driving record online at the Texas Department of Public Safety website. Be sure to order the "3A-Certified" version. The record is immediately available after you pay the required fee. Texas DPS Website

2. Where can I take a defensive driving course?

Once you apply with the court and are approved to take a defensive driving course, you have the option of taking any Texas Education Agency approved defensive driving course. Courses are available online, in person or on DVD.

3. What form of payment does the Municipal Court accept?

Payment may be made by personal check, money order or cashiers check by mail or in person. MasterCard, Visa, debit cards, and cash are accepted in person and online. A 2% processing fee is added when paying by credit card.

4. Can someone else take care of my ticket?

Yes. The Judge allows the defendant's representative or attorney at the court hearing.

5. May I change my court appearance date?

Yes. Court dates may be reset up to 24 hours prior to the court appearance date. Requests for a new court date must be made in person.

6. Can the Municipal Court tell me if my driver's license is suspended?

No. You must check with the Texas Department of Public Safety to see if your driver's license has been suspended. Texas DPS Website
